I just wanna share this gold in Youtube. I love this version of A Long and Lasting Love by Billy Preston and Syreeta (the other version is from Crystal Gayle, but I am not sure which one is the original).
A long and lasting love
Not many people find it
But those who do their whole life through
Put their heart and soul behind it
A long and lasting love
A long and lasting love
Is what I always dream of
And when I look into your eyes
I knew I've really seen love
A long and lasting love
Refrain:
Now that you're in my life
I'm gonna make you stay
I'll have to be some kind of crazy fool
To let you get away
(Repeat) (my favorite part)
A long and lasting love
We share for many reasons
A special bond that goes beyond
The changing of the seasons
A long and lasting love
A long and lasting love
Is someone I can care for
Someone to be there for
The rest of my life
A long and lasting love
(Repeat Refrain)
(Repeat Last Stanza)
A long and lasting love...
It's really a good feeling to fall in love, especially when you listen to this kind of ballads.
I will always sing this to my love, MF.
"Experiments in Science 2.0...It’s a Darwinian process.
About 99 percent of these ideas are going to die. But some will
emerge and spread." - Bora Zivkovic, Plos One

Content of My Heart
For MF... Give Me All Night (by Carly Simon)
(Carly Simon/Gerard McMahon)
I have no need of half of anything
No half time, no half of a man's attention
Give me all the earth and sky
And at the same time add a new dimension
Half the truth is of no use
Give it all, give it all to me
I can stand it
I am strong that way
Give me all night
Give me the full moon
And if I can't take the whole of you
Give it to me anyway
Give me all night
'Till the last star fades
And if you can't take my heart and soul
Take it from me anyway
Don't give me fountains, I need waterfalls
And, when I cry my tears'll fill an ocean
The pain of love I'll accept it all
As long as you'll join me in that emotion
Half of lovin' is no fun
Give it all, give it all to me
I can stand it
I am strong that way
Don't leave me guessing alone
Don't walk me half the way home
You can do that tomorrow
Just give me give me all night.

My Musicbox 1990's
Since last night I had been listening to the top billboard songs from 1980's to 1990's. It started with Donna Summer's "She Works Hard for the Money," until I got to listen to Kim Carnes Bette Davis Eyes. This afternoon, I didn't get over my thing with the 80's and 90's pop music, and I opened my archive and played all songs by Laura Branigan.
To the 80's and 90's babies, I hope you can still remember these songs (Don't forget to turn-off the background music of this page):
Thief of Hearts
Melissa Manchester
Somewhere deep inside of a stranger's eyes
There are stranger things I see
Shades of light on a secret part of me
Living in the shadows hiding from my life
I was waiting for a dream
Now a perfect stranger fills my needs
Thief Of Hearts
Stole my heart from me
Thief Of Hearts
Better than a dream
The Theif Of Hearts
Hands upon my body full of cool control
Baby tell me how you knew
Everything that felt so good to me
Now I see you clearer through your one-way mirror
Real, but too surreal
Turn the pages
You're a memory
(Repeat Chorus)
When I think about my soul
All the secrets that you stole
Then I know that I've just got to let you go
(Repeat Chorus)
Until now, I can't still find this movie in video stores. I remember listening to this on the radio when I was young. I just recently uncovered that this was used in a motion picture with the same title.
Spanish Eddie
Laura Branigan
There was heat in the air
And cops everywhere you looked
So there wasn't a lot
And the breaks that you got you know you took
And I remember wonderin' where you've been
The night Spanish Eddie cashed it in
The night Spanish Eddie cashed it in
They were playin' "Desolation Row"
On the radio
The night Spanish Eddie fell from grace
There was amazement on his face
On the night that Eddie failed sanity prevailed
It was June or July
When the heat from above beat down
It was famine or drought
When the brothers went out of syle uptown
And we was mixin' vicks with lemon gin
The night Spanish Eddie cashed it in
The night Spanish Eddie cashed it in
They were plain' "Desolation Row"
On the radio
The night Spanish Eddie made front page
His revolution came of age
He wrote "surrender" on the wall
the night he took the fall
I heard someone say "He's tryin' to fly"
Like Eddie used to say "We'll do when we die"
I know someone turned you for a spin
The night Spanish Eddie cashed it in
The night Spanish Eddie cashed it in
They were plain' "Desolation Row"
On the radio
The night Spanish Eddie fell from grace
There was amazement on his face
On the night that Eddie failed sanity prevailed
The night Spanish Eddie cashed it in
They were plain' "Desolation Row"
On the radio (3x)
I remembered dancing to this music when I was young (very young) in "Baylihan" - town dancing party. Oh how I missed my childhood innocence and being carefree.

Musicbox
I have not been listening to any music for days already. Tonight, suddenly my heart craved for some dose of melancholy. Hay.
Separate Lives
Phil Collins
Separate Lives
Phil Collins
| You called me from the room in your hotel All full of romance for someone that you met And telling me how sorry you were, leaving so soon And that you miss me sometimes when youre alone in your room Do I feel lonely too? You have no right to ask me how I feel You have no right to speak to me so kind We cant go on just holding on to time Now that were living separate lives Well I held on to let you go And if you lost your love for me, well you never let it show There was no way to compromise So now were living (living) Separate lives Ooh, its so typical, love leads to isolation So you build that wall (build that wall) Yes, you build that wall (build that wall) And you make it stronger Well you have no right to ask me how I feel You have no right to speak to me so kind Some day I might (I might) find myself looking in your eyes But for now, well go on living separate lives Yes for now, well go on living separate lives Separate lives |

Apollo's Lyre 070905: Calling Your Name Again
Here I go again. I have to admit that I can't simply dismiss music in my life. Music fuels my mind to be creative and to be well in touched with my psyche.
Right now, I am in gloomy mood. Maybe my cosmic energy is disturbed. I definitely woke up in the wrong side of the bed (in the aspect of being productive).
While riding a cab on my way to the office, a melancholic song of Richard Carpenters was being played in the radio. It struck my heart. And I couldn't take it away from head.
Here I go... listening to it over and over again.
Then I remembered the lines - "Kumusta na pala si Ian?" "Ha si Ian, okie naman siya. Birthday niya nga ngayon." "Oo nga noh." - They let bygones be bygones. “In the greatest love stories, there is a MAN, a WOMAN, and the WIFE who comes between them.”
"Life and love" is sometimes like that.
I am sharing Richard Carpenter's song to you now.
Calling Your Name Again
I wake up in the dark
Silence brings me to my senses
I wonder where you are
Then I feel a pain, a pain in my heart
Cause Im living without your love
And Im all alone for the first time
And it doesnt seem to be a dream
A dream that will be over
All the words you said
Werent enough to fool this heartache
Memories in my head
Arent enough to stop me falling apart
Cause Im living without your love
And maybe it wont be the last time
I dont know how much more I can take
Hope is wide awake and here I go
(*) calling your name again
Thinking of all that we two had before
Theres got to be more this I know
Calling your name again
Remembering all the love you gave to me
And how we used to be
I think of whats to come
Then I turn and see your picture
The tears begin to fall
And soon I can make sense of nothing at all
Cause Im living without your love
Hoping that Ill make it this time
Something tells me this is not the end
Wish I could pretend but here I go
Repeat (*)
